Our Beginning
The White Lion Resort, presented through zanzihaven.com, is more than just a place to stay. It is a project created by a group of Czech entrepreneurs who fell in love with the authentic beauty of Zanzibar and, in particular, with the unique natural environment surrounding Chumbe Island.
A Different Direction
From the very beginning, the idea was not to build a large commercial resort, but to create a place that respects the island, the local community, and the delicate balance of nature. The White Lion Resort was developed as an alternative to crowded tourism, excessive construction, and the growing pressure that mass tourism places on destinations that should be protected rather than transformed.
Nature Comes First
The project is built around one simple belief: nature should not be conquered, but respected. For this reason, every stage of its development is focused on preserving the wild character of the area, reducing environmental impact, and encouraging responsible tourism with a limited number of guests.
